A1. Cherryade
B1. Queen of Hoxton
B2. Cape Town
Following on from last years Horus EP, Darq E Freaker the producer behind Tempa T's Grime anthem 'Next Hype' is back with 'Cherryade', the third release on Oil Gang. Already building up to be one of the biggest Grime tracks of 2011 and a favourite with both MCs and DJs alike, Cherryade is a current favourite of Rinse FM's Blackdown. When writing in his regular NME column, he said “(the) ruff verse stabs recall Tempa T’s classic ‘Next Hype’, while the choruses sound like the mutant child of Dr Dre’s G-funk." A regular in radio and club sets by Oneman, Starkey and Rinse FM’s Elijah & Skilliam. Over on the flip the resurgence of 8 Bar continues with the frantic 'Queen of Hoxton'. The two heavyweight riffs play against each other over a bed of frantic kicks and claps. One for the DJs. Finally, Cape Town with its flickering synths and massive bassline this one keeps on building.
