Boy 8-Bit follows his 'The Suspense is Killing Me' release on Diplo's Mad Decent imprint with his four-tracker monster 'Baltic Pine' EP on This Is Music Records.
The EP's title track 'Baltic Pine' bounces an elastic bass-with-a-punch whilst its magical melody evolves out of the groove, taking you skipping away until it breaks into a ebullient cacophony of accordion, piano and brass.
'Wolfen' hits heavier with an eerie intro pulsing as the backdrop and bass propel it forwards. Until that oppressive, elephantine trumpet sound drops in, obliterating all before it. A six-minute horror juggernaut for the dancefloor.
'A City Under Siege' takes b-more kick patterns and laces them with a ridiculously euphoric horn riff, fusing these simple elements, layering the horns up into a bumping, hands in the air moment.
'Chapel of Ghouls' - referencing 80's horror soundtracks in name and style, with a winding electronic organ and a heavy layered background... producing an eerie soundtrack to a gothic charnel-house rave.
With support already coming from Touche /Fake Blood, Annie Mac, Diplo, , Plump DJs, Brodinski, Crookers, Sinden, Scratch Perverts, A-Trak, The Loose Cannons and many more, this EP has already got massive all over it.
