Following on from a string of epic releases on labels such as Trouble and Bass, Turbo Recordings and Diplo's Mad Decent, Boy 8-Bit's name and music are about to be on everyone's lips and ears again. His club floor killer 'Tropical Heat' on !K7 Records bristles with bonkers energy and heavy hooks - this 12" is bound to cause havoc on dancefloors.
Boy 8-Bit aka David Morris made his first steps onto the dance scene in 2004 when Dj Touche included his track ‘The Colonel’ in his Radio One essential mix. Remix offers then flooded in, as did accolades from Radio One, Kiss FM and the press - IDJ magazine gave his melodic bassline roller ‘Long Jeanne Silver’ top marks with five stars out of five, describing it as an “Awesome Electronic Masterpiece”. He has had residencies at the Body Clap night at London's T-Bar and Fabric and has performed at Glastonbury while playing guitar for the band the Black Ghosts – aka Simon ‘We are your Friends’ Lord from Simian and Theo Keating aka DJ Touche from the Wiseguys.
