Oh man�..this has been one epic cosmic mindfuck of a voyage�..Seahawks music has taken us further out and deeper than we�ve been for a long time and yet it�s been fun�.it�s been a blast. �Ocean Trippin� gathers together all the vinyl releases this year - all long sold out - adds a couple of unreleased tracks and drops them all into a dosed aquatic blend�.like James Cameron�s �Abyss� Seahawks music confirms that outer space and deep ocean are one and the same place. As with all great albums �Ocean Trippin� acts as a refuge, a place to hang, a fantasy voyage and a state of mind. As winter starts to descend it�s time to take a trip somewhere tropical�.. The Seahawks sound has been dubbed �deck shoegaze�, �discoid yacht rock� �super cosmic slo-mo beach dub� and likened to �The Doobie Brothers playing live in a sunken Atlantis�. Seahawks music covers many bases but always retains their individual sun bleached, tape soaked sound, that fuses their love of smooth rock and disco with the more cosmic and experimental sounds associated with Krautrock pioneers like Cluster and Deuter and more recently American acts like Emeralds, Ducktails and Oneohtrix Point Never. As usual with Seahawks releases the packaging is exceptional, this one comes in a snappy poly plastic case with full colour artwork by Pete Fowler and a collectable sticker unique to this release and like previous Seahawks releases this won�t be available as a download.
