Sales Notes:
Recovery Measures is the first of 3 EPs released from the New Album by PROCESSORY (Jori Hulkkonen & Jerry Valuri) entitled CHANGE IS GRADUAL.
Recovery Measures EP includes the title track and remixes of equally enticing selections from the full album, including a remix of “Nightfall” by Nu-Disco superstar AEROPLANE, a remix of “Young Italians” by CFCF (Acephale), and “Recovery Measures” by HANNULELAURI (Kitsune, Gomma).
AEROPLANE (Ultra, XL, Eskimo) supply an undeniable electro-disco monster. He seems to excel in making accessible, fun, crowd movers and this is no exception. A complete reversal of the original lo-fi ballad. Aeroplane takes the harpsichord and pulsing synths and puts it straight on the dance floor. Another success in the popular and never ending string of Aeroplane productions. This one goes far.
CFCF (Acephale) is one of our favorite producers of the moment. Never a shortage of charming beats and nostalgic vibes that pull you into his unique productions. At the moment he’s coming off a hugely popular remix of Holy Ghost! on DFA. CFCF pulls out all the stops for this remix. Airy synths, floating chimes, and a bit of smooth Casio use really win you over in his remix of “Young Italians”. The bass line is full, broken, and upbeat which really adds to the mood here. It rocks.
HANNULELAURI (Gomma) drop a sure player. Sparse and techy bits reminiscent of the Booka Shade/Get Physical sound. Bouncing bass line with clickly synth stabs and ethereal synth overlay. The vocal interplays perfectly, cascading thru the uplifting beats and synths. So nice.
The EP also includes the original “Kurzweil”. A wonderful production by Jori Hulkkonen and one of the most dj friendly of the album collection. Very strong.
