LNUK Records return for their third release with the hotly anticipated Damp EP from My Nu Leng.
With two cuts of dark, uncompromising dance floor material, My Nu Leng announce their arrival on the UK underground scene in some style. Remix duty falls to Last Japan, whose recent 'Ambush' EP on LNUK Records has been seeing widespread support from the likes of Jackmaster, Sinden, Oneman and Rob Da Bank.
Lead track ‘Damp‘ combines dark chords, chopped up samples and intense sub bass to deliver a unique slice of 130bpm half time pressure guaranteed to get the attention of any dance floor. Flip side 'Waltakocks' is a moody roller of a beat which once more shows off My Nu Leng’s subtle proficiency for dark, intricate bass work and atmospheres. Last Japan takes ‘Damp’ and flips the script completely for his '4:44am Remix', with a blend of powerful synths, crisp snares and intelligent use of bass that owes as much to current trends in US hip hop as it does to UK grime and funky.
LNUK's most diverse and perhaps strongest release to date, the 'Damp' EP builds on this South London-based label's already growing reputation and establishes them firmly as an outfit to be keeping a close eye on in 2012.
