Ice Box springs back to life as another fine slice of ghetto house is being reissued for the resurgent fans of the rawest house music out there. DJ Amar's tracks tend to be the more developed on this six-track 12", reaching for samples and ideas a little more advanced from the live bass noodling of "Audiomedia Trax-1" to the nasty synth that dominates "Unplugged Rhythm". DJ Slick Rick Da Master is more classic in his delivery, ripping all manner of soul and funk licks and looping them to distraction in a rowdy manner that shows no fear and no shame.
