Shiftin Kicking off a busy year for Crazylegs, our first release of 2014 is a debut 12” of dizzying club experiments from one of the UK’s most unique emerging producers, Gage. “Remember the first time you heard Untold’s ‘Stop What You’re Doing’ and just froze? ’Telo’ has a similar effect” — FACT Magazine Telo’s stuttering kicks and skewed synth blasts have already become a staple in the sets of Slackk, Brackles, Logos, Murlo and Bloom. On the flip Shiftin ups the violence, reconfiguring a punishing drum track with all the rudeness of 8-bar grime. This release represents a full circle of sorts for Gage. Originally from South London but now based in Bristol, he cites a 2011 Crazylegs party as being a big turning point in his direction as a producer. Fast forward to 2014 and we’re proud to be putting out his first record. Gage makes his Rinse FM debut on 15th Feb with a guest mix on Brackles’ show.
