The latest entry in the Newrhythmic discography sees four suitably stern cuts, with label boss Joton stepping up alongside a cast of faces new to the label. Joton's collaboration with Woo York, entitled "Rocket" kicks off with its steely chords slotting in between writhing beats, while Joton's solo track "In The Moon" sees more slender synths keeping the harder elements in check. On the flip, Samuli Kemppi introduces some slate grey minimalism into proceedings, with austere beats joined by tricking synth textures, leaving Pacou's "Rota" to provide the EP's peak time moment, a rubbery combination of jittery synths and shattered percussion.
