Sales Notes:
Cyber Dance Records are proud to present their first album release 'Messages From The Void Vol 2'.
After six years of gaining a worthy reputation for only releasing the finest material from up and coming electronic artists such as Andy Romano, Matzo & Pauli, Mark Du Mosch, Brassica, Ali Renault and many more they finally showcase on double-vinyl and CD a compilation that confidently re-defines the sound of the label in more exciting and varied directions at once than ever before. Consisting of eleven tracks that range from electro to synth-pop and from Italo to disco-funk, the album features contributions from Cyber Dance regulars like Mark Du Mosch, Ali Renault and Tommy Walker 3 alongside tracks from emerging artists like Bill Ambrose, Brassica, Meschi and Serious Lover and also the more mysterious Night System and Martin Aston.
1. NIGHT SYSTEM - Flight To Zanzibar (Flemming Dalum Remix)
Italo legend Flemming Dalum opens the album with a devastating remix of Night System's 'Flight To
Zanzibar', a record so rare that only 10 copies were ever pressed of the original version! With his
trademark sci-fi sounds and rocking synths being deployed to full effect, this is undoubtedly one of
Flemming's strongest remixes yet and a must-have for any Italo Disco fans old or new...
2. SERIOUS LOVER - Got It Wrong
Serious Lover returns to Cyber Dance after his explosive first release 'Serious Love' with another track
that is just as intense, bombastic, moody and atmospheric - 'Got It Wrong'. Anyone who has seen
Serious Lover's live show recently will know this track is made to blow up any dance-floor it is
dropped on while having some serious pop potential too... seriously.
3. SPRUXXX & BILL AMBROSE - Bad Lovers Bad Drivers
Spruxxx and Bill Ambrose join forces to create a modern synth-wave classic with a chorus that's so
catchy it will be stuck in your head for weeks. Driving bass-lines. melodic hooks and bongo fury make
this track just as infectious in the disco as on the radio...
4. TOMMY WALKER 3 - Let's Not Go
Tommy Walker 3's 'Let's Not Go' sounds like it was made in a lost era somewhere between funk, house
and latin disco. A hauntingly atmospheric and beautiful track made largely with the use of real
instruments, a certain music journalist once described it as sounding like "driving down a coast road in
Miami at sunset in 1985 sipping Tequilas and chasing Senoritas". We couldn't have put it better
ourselves.
5. MARK DU MOSCH Pacifix
Rotterdam's Mark Du Mosch gives us 'Pacifix', a mesmerising musical fantasy made on vintage
analogue synthesisers and sounding like a blissful dream from a lost magical childhood. Guaranteed to
take both a club crowd and a listener at home to heaven and back, this is surely one of Mark's finest
efforts yet, and he has a track record with releases on labels like Moustache, Lunar Disko and SD
records that is fast earning him a reputation as a name to watch on the international circuit.
6. MARTIN ASTON Mamasita
Little is known about Martin Aston himself except for this track. Discovered recently deep in the vaults
of an Italo collector who wishes to remain anonymous, Cyber Dance were quick to acquire the rights
and make sure this track finally got the release it deserves. Slow-tempo rocking instrumental Italo
Disco is the style, moody and atmospheric to the finish...
7. BILL AMBROSE Pariah
An instant classic of British synth-pop, Bill Ambrose recalls the lost sounds of artists like The Human
League and ABC on 'Pariah' as much as he reflects the classic synth-soul of Chicago legends Jamie
Principle or Joe Smooth. Whether played in clubs, at home or on the radio this track is sure to be huge
in 2011 with its powerfully emotional melodies, hauntingly honest vocals and rocking beats....
8. BRASSICA - Lydden Circuit
Brassica is a fast-rising star in the London electronic music scene, remixing everybody from Hercules
& Love Affair to Bleeding Heart Narrative and JR Seaton and his work is soon to be featured on an
upcoming Fabric Mix CD. His live shows are also already the stuff of legend and 'Lydden Circuit' is
the kind of futuristic rave masterpiece that does them justice in the studio. His last release on Cyber
Dance 'Ballo Dei Morti' made a massive impact on the underground and this track is set to extend his
reach yet further onto the dance-floor with its London rhythms, crisp production and searing
melodies...
9. ALI RENAULT - Deep Sea Pumas
Ali Renault has built a rock-solid reputation over the past few years as one of London's foremost
electro producers, gaining an ever-growing cult following in the capital and abroad with his
consistently rocking releases and outstanding live shows. 'Deep Sea Pumas' builds around solid
Drexciyan electro grooves into a musical master-work of both esoteric subtlety and primal electroexcitement,
and is sure to blow up any dance-floor its played too as easily as it can be listened to turned
up loud in the car or at home. Having released stunning tracks and EPs through labels like Moustache,
Dissident and Bunker as well as Cyber Dance, Ali Renault is another name to watch in 2011 as he goes
from strength to musical strength with every release.
10. SPRUXXX & ALI RENAULT Blades
A visionary electro epic that is emotional, powerful and hard-rocking form start to finish and features a
bass-wobble that is impossible to resist. As you would expect from a collaboration between two such
distinctive producers the track truly sounds like nothing else electro has heard before and yet
confidently sounds as comfortably classic as anything we already know and love. Featuring in mixes
from Casionova amongst others this track is perfectly designed to be DJ'd with its drum intro, easy
break-points and synth chord outtro but again sounds just as good at home, on the ipod or in the car as
it is musically rich and complex as much as it is rocking...
11. MESCHI - Arctic Wolf (End Credits)
Closing the album for us is the majestic and awe-inspiring atmospheric epic 'Arctic Wolf (End Credits)'
from Glasgow's Meschi. With other releases lined up for 2011 on both Cyber Dance and Lunar Disko
Meschi is fast-becoming a musical legend despite his youthful age. Sounding like a powered-up lost
Vangelis soundtrack, this track demonstrates Meschi's musical reach and is simple yet breath-taking in
its transcendental beauty throughout. Echoes of polar wastelands and snow-capped mountains provide
the perfect closing music to the compilation and will leave the world undoubtedly hungry for more
from this very talented young man.''
