Brothers Black kick off 2019 with a diverse dance-floor focused four track VA, BRBL004. Kicking off the VA is Magna Pia, one half of the power-duo Cassegrain. Combining a stomping kick with atmospheric sound design and an industrial-influenced lead, ‘Ina’ is a thoughtful peak-time weapon. Following on is one of Sweden’s underground mainstays, Sandra Mosh. ‘Paimon’ is a highly effective groove-led track that is synonymous with Mosh’s sound: hypnotic and driving. Next up is Miller & Keane, consisting of Abstract Division’s Dave Miller and Damian Keane. ‘Foundation’ is a twisted warehouse tool that combines a frenetic, sticky analog lead with stomping percussion and an industrial snare. Closing the release is Brothers Black’s ’Childish’. Combining driving percussion with audio samples from one of the 00’s famous horror films, Childish is an unpredictable, memorable cut.
