This dynamic but sadly short-lived lineup of The Ronnie Scott Quintet recorded this sensational BBC Jazz Club session at the Paris Studios in London, which was originally broadcast on “The Jazz Scene" on 27th March 1966. The 23 year old Alan Skidmore was already a blisteringly impressive soloist and the band’s energy and enthusiasm offer a reminder of the halcyon days of British jazz in the 1960’s. This audiophile quality 180gm Vinyl LP was cut at Gearbox on a Haeco Scully lathe with Westrex RA1700 series amps, Westrex 3DIIA cutting head and Telefunken U73B tube limiter, Maselec master control and equalisation.
