Well, garage might not be the right term as The Mojomatics heap together hillbilly blues, old country, folk and bluegrass, inject it with the melody of British Invasion pop, and fire it all out with the breakneck energy of the best garage/punk/rock n’ roll. The Mojomatics do not disguise their love and admiration for the musical forefathers.They celebrate them. The melodic structures of The Byrds and The Kinks, the interplay of the primal and the delicate often found in early Rolling Stones and electric Dylan records and finally the musical DNA that it’s all based on – Folk and Blues – it’s all here. They got the magic to make your eyes wet just listening to their tunes, they prove that nice guys who love what they do win in this hype-ridden world. The prize?
