DEEP MEDi are very happy to announce the signing of a new member to the family. Swindle has been cutting his teeth on various labels such as Planet Mu and Butterz fusing his unique style of Grime, Funky & Dubstep, he has had some recent underground success with ‘Ignition’ feat. Footsie and Nadia Suliman on his own label Swindle Productions. Swindle came to the attention of the MEDi camp by fellow Anti Social member Silkie. Silkie & Swindle have been working closely in the studio recently, which inspired the recent collaboration on Butterz and earlier this year a mix they worked on for Mixmag. Swindle’s ‘Do the Jazz’ EP unites Swindle’s love of the Funk with his twisted rave sensibility and innovative production skills that make people unable not to shake a leg in the dance. ‘Do The Jazz’ has been getting support and radio play from the likes of Mistajam, Annie Mac & Toddla T, due to it’s pure energy! Don’t be fooled by the hypnotic jazz lick that lulls you into a false sense of security only for the ferocious bass line and piercing rave stabs to tear you limb from limb, pow! ‘Under The Sun’ continues where ‘Do the Jazz’ finished off, Swindle once again lures you in with his trademark funk fusion only for you to be caught off guard and slapped in the face by a rave synth that would put The Prodigy to shame followed by a keyboard lick straight out of Zapp’s ‘More Bounce To The Ounce’. Finally Swindle lets loose the much talked about ‘If I Was A Super Hero’ which sounds like a collision of Prince, George Clinton and Dr. Dre on a 140 tip, Slow, low, lean back, G-funk!
