Another main player of the current elite of deephouse producers makes an anonymous but definitely not impersonal appearance on the ever great Story imprint. right from the beginning of “Fascinated” we get slowely woven into a maze by the spellbinding introduction of a sultry soulstress and when the eeriy string, gentle harp sweeps and a swinging yet almost coy beat fall in it only adds to the feeling of hazy, latenight intimacy. “Taj Mahal” has a more robust, earthy beat with Tabla and deep twangy sitar sounds panning around, making you see all these groovy colors and feel like you are lifted above ground and even “you better find a job” - despite it’s title - doesn’t even try to pull you back to earth and into dull reality; it’s warm pulsating bass, psychedelic feedback and flanger sounds much rather urge you to flip that record over again and stay in the groove.
