Manuel Tur needs little by way of introduction, seeing as he’s causing something of a stir with his releases on Drumpoet Community, Compost Blacklabel, Smokestack and of course Freerange. This is the first single to be taken from Manuel Tur’s debut LP for Freerange. Manuel Tur is in high demand for remix work after turning in excellent re-rubs for the likes of Nick Holder (NRK), Random Factor (2020 Vision) and Skylark (Saved). Here Manuel returns with a follow up to last years mighty Acorado. ‘Vabanque’ sees Manuel up the ante with a real slow-burning deep house treat that we’re sure will put him well and truly on the map. This understated little beauty makes great use of a repeated vocal sample giving it it’s hypnotic hook and reminds us of something Global Communication might come up with if put head to head in the studio with Âme. Next, Stimming gets to work on ‘Vabanque’. This is Stimming’s first ever remix but he is causing a big stir after his amazing releases on Diynamic and Terminal M. (Funkworm, Eiszauber and Radar). Stimming does what he does best injecting with his unique, teutonic-electronic funk. Perfectly executed breakdowns and precision beats ensure this mix wins over hearts, minds and feet on the dancefloor. Last up is another Manuel Tur original entitled ‘Girardet’ which utilizes a simple sampled stab cross rhythm and stripped back old school groove for maximum effect. Tis heavy.
