Stevie Kotey & Max Essa have been working hard over the last year. Not only content with releasing their own solo material, including Kotey’s Afrobutt CD on Electric Minds and Essa’s 12” releases and forthcoming album on Bear Funk; the pair have also been working together on their new project Soiree. In addition their first Salon De L’Herbe EP was released via Electric Minds in May 2008 providing a twisted journey of dub, disco and electronica and given the thumbs up world-wide by today’s elite producers & DJs . The standard continues with the 2nd EP, which sticks to the same theme in providing three deep and underground cuts. The live drums, guitars and slick arrangement provide a musical journey that sounds immense when piped through any decent club system. “1986” will provide a great vibe for any club while “1978 It Felt Great” & “Guitar’s” Balearic feel will be perfect for this summer.
