Sales Notes:
Seb Zitoʼs ʻSeven Dials EPʼ is the third release from the Fuse London label, set up in early 2011 to showcase talents associated with the renowned weekly Fuse parties.
Seb has been involved with the underground electronic music scene since 1994 and has previously released with Off Recordings as well as Monique Musique, but itʼs his residency with Fuse that has formed the tight energetic style of production heard in ʻSeven Dialsʼ.
ʻSenor Chunkʼ the opening track on the EP has a fitting name. Consisting of a weighty sub bass line with neatly sculpted rhythmic elements and sonic waves echoing throughout, ʻSenor Chunkʼ displays Sebʼs knowledge of manipulating sounds with huge room reverbs and rolling delays to create tension.
Musically ʻLand Of Plentyʼ is a deep, dark composition that opens with live sounding drums and incorporates daunting synth melodies. The focal point of the track is enhanced with atmospherics and strings that are cleverly worked, adding to the melodies and holding the track together superbly.
ʻButterflies & Dragonsʼ wraps up the collection with a percussive piece utilizing pounding toms, a penetrating bass and a female vocal sample pushing it into techier territory. Assiduous woodblock hits and sweeping synth pads make it an engaging and irresistible piece of work.
ʻSeven Dialsʼ is a sagacious and original EP that displays Sebʼs broad range of production skills and the end result is an ensemble of tasteful, dramatic modern house tracks.
