Salvatore Freda & Volta are about to become big news, of that we�re sure. Hailing from Lausanne, Switzerland (home of the legendary Mad Club and and a little known DJ and producer called Luciano) it�s safe to say it�s now time for this duo to make their own mark on Swiss history. Between them they�ve been Djing for years holding down residencies at the best clubs in the city but only in the last couple of those have they joined forces and turned their focus to production. Recent releases have surfaced on labels such as Trapez and Liebe Detail. Upcoming releases include the Uva Fragolina E.P with Michel Cleis for the mighty Cadenza. --- Kicking things off is Western Spaghetti, a furious percussion excursion which weaves magic on the dancefloor and will have everyone reaching for the peyote before losing themselves in a dervish-like trance. On a slightly deeper and trippier note we have Charles Webster�s Spicy Dub of Patatas Madras where he morphs the track into an undulating, relentless throbber with darker overtones. As always, the immaculate attention to detail and off kilter production we know and love in a CW remix are all present and correct. Finally, the original of Patatas Madras shows Salvatore & Volta go on an extended journey taking in a hint of eastern mysticism and a whole heap of expertly crafted beats and bass to wig out to.
