The mysterious Robotalco serves up four deep house cuts for NYC’s On The Prowl. “Robo’s Road” kicks things off with the right amount of hissing strings and slow drifting vibes that win it’s A1 spot. Next up we have “It Gets To Me", which strips things back a bit with pulsing synths, sparse congas, and perfectly placed vocal snippets. On the B-side we get “Moon Robot", It keeps things rolling with it’s stompy feel and more of what’s becoming Robotalco’s signiture swirling synth pad sound. Rounding up the release for B2 is “Zuk Zuk", with it’s quirky low slung groove that develops into a latin percussive gem…it’s really a superb way to round off Robotalco’s OTP debut. Well done.
