After a hiatus from the music world Tech:Noir returns with a superb release from Minneapolis' Reactiv. With a flair forintricate drum work and an innovative use of space and texture Reactiv is a producer who truly has his own sound. His music is both impacting and long-standing, with an attention to detail that is a feast to the ears. The Watcher From the offset this tune has a quality that draws you in. Percussion and drum slices dot around brooding textures before dropping into a tight relentless groove, packed full of weighty bass, tense atmospheres and hypnotising percussion. Lovely stuff. Sabotage Showing his versatilely Reactiv sets a completely different tone on the flipside with "Sabotage". A much more moody affair with a cold industrial feel and rolling rattling breakbeats. This track packs quite a punch as well as displaying Reactiv's amazing ability with drum programming, effects and texture.
