2009 was the album year for Paradox Music with the release of Alaska & Paradox’s Isolationist LP and now the label returns to the 12" fold in 2010, kicking off in style with a new solo 12" from label boss Dev Paradox. Perhaps the Future is a sinister, mystical, gritty and raw number all rolled into one. The Amen brother break is used to great effect creating an new identity of it's own with it's intense eq at the forefront of the mix. Rare thought-provoking vocal samples unveil the track's story and ethos accompanied
by bass booms and mysterious sharp film samples conjour scenes straight from a 70’s detective series.
8-Track is one for the B-boys and displays the producers early foundations in DnB. 8-Track is unique from a breakbeat perspective, and displays a sample contrast between the track’s original 60’s jazz/funk roots and a 90’s hiphop version of the same title. Dub delay and vocal effects tie the track alongside deep rumbling bass and the end result alongside Perhaps the Future is another Paradox 12” complete with a strong identity of it’s own. DJ support: Zero T, Equinox, Lynx, Soul Intent, London Elektricity, Alley Cat, Gremlinz
