Recorded in Hamburg, Germany, Ciza�a De Los Amores continues in what is quickly becoming a collaborative tradition between Omar Rodriguez Lopez and vocalist Ximena Sari�ana Rivera. The album, however, kicks off with the eerie, piano-based "Soledad y Silencio" featuring the breathy vocal contributions of Lisa Papineau (Air, Big Sir). It soon segues into territory familiar to fans of recent albums such as Solar Gambling and Xenophanes, built upon the rock-solid foundation of bassist Juan Alderete de la Pe�a (whose often-fretless bass here brings to mind his own Big Sir project) and drummer Marcel Rodriguez Lopez. Consisting of eight tracks, Ciza�a De Los Amores ("The Lovers' Discord") continues to expand the horizons of the Rodriguez Lopez universe, further blurring the lines between progressive rock, Latin, pop, and experimental/noise music.
