After our 25 releases aniversary, the Deep Explorer ship continues his trip into the deep ocean, this time with new members in the crew, they coming from the Altered Mood label (Malcolm Moore, Debra jones-Davis and Jenifa Mayanja) Also is on board Bjak, our veteran explorer that will be the host to the Altered mood’s family in this trip. For “Love and Rhythm” we wanted to mix vocal songs with instrumental abstract takes to make a balanced release between both styles.
We have Bjak starting the fire with his exciting “Rhythm of love” where Brian Cullen aka Bjak shows his best vocal skills until today, giving the love that the club’s floor need today. The second cut is a deep perl by Malcolm Moore wrapped by the suggestive voice of Debra Davis-Jones talking about the dangers of the love. Precious track where the emotions run wild..On the flipside Bjak attacks again with a dark percussive discharge called “Purple fire”. His guttural voice tells stories ambiented in the final hours of a club. Take a listen, pay attention and discover by yourself the meaning of the “Purple fire” concept. The final cut is for Jenifa Mayanja (AMR and Bumako recordings) If you knew the music from Jenifa you already know that she has a personal way to treat the rhythms and this is not an exception. She puts the abstract touch with her remix for “Love (a perilous thing).Have a nice trip, explorers…. see you soon.
