The intro builds with sci fi strings that progress like a train hurtling down the tracks out of control. It reaches a crescendo with the sound of squealing brakes and drops into a menacing talk box bassline and Lynx's sharp 2 step beats. 5.a.m Soul City is a collaboration between Lynx and London born, Sydney based soul vocalist, Spikey Tee. The track has the vibe of walking through the backstreets of a city in the early hours of the morning. Subdued chords, scattered pianos and rustles of the streets and distant cars litter this liquid vocal track.
