LES FILS DU CALVAIRE are hybrid, between fancy french pop, decadent club music and outgoing cabaret. Pop extrapolation of dOP, they have sense of show, phrase and mixture. More than the immediate pop seduction, “Femme d’Affaires” gauges fake containment, funky and warm background, 80’s synthetics winks, and panoramic contemporary sound. And as we are at Circus Company (french stable on top of electronic and pop explorations including Nicolas Jaar, Nôze, Ark Seuil…), they are surrounded with Manjul (very special master of ‘dub’, based in Mali, Manjul collaborated with big names of african music such as Salif Keita, Oumou Sangaré, Amadou and Mariam, Toumani Diabate…), Jacques Renault and Acid Pauli (last signature of Clown&Sunset, Nicolas Jaar’s music label) for harp-edged and hovering club remixes.
