First up is Dutch duo Duijn & Douglas, who already released on Nowar, who took on Thymus Stimulator and turned it into a deep and funky time bomb. Very basic and strongly efficient grooves layered with riffs and counter-riffs, making you hooked instantly. A wonderful hip-shaker! On the flipside Detroit’s Kris Wadsworth, with solid releases on NRK and Boe Recordings, applied a more machine funk approach turning ‘Feel’ into a deep jack workout with Leonid’s original dreamy sounds enveloping Kris’s rawness. Finally Miles Sagnia, whose releases on his own Atmospheric Existence and Aesthetic Audio prove to be timeless gems, also combined the raw and the soulful. A true deep house gem with funky basslines, straightforward beats and a sweet deep almost Detroit techy vibe.
