The new Leena welcomes a very new guest to the mobilee family - Belgian born Jona - who having been discovered by Get Physical in 2005 has since had a series of strong releases on labels such as Supplement Facts, Planet E and Resopal. A born musician, Jona originally studied the guitar and was heavily influenced by Blues and Jazz music, until he fell in love with electronic music and graduated from the School of Audio Engineering. His wealth of musical training has supported his desire to continually explore new sound perspectives and forge is own and unique sound signature, something not so common in the electronic music world of today. ‘This Time’ is a three track strong EP that takes brings together a variety of musical themes. Whilst ‘Drifting Away’ and title track ‘This Time’ both have grooving bass lines perfect to shake up the dance floor, ‘Resonate’ has layers of drifting synths creating more of a dreamy Summers day atmosphere. A debut release from an artist we hope to be seeing a lot more of in the future….enjoy!
