For the first time Chicago artists Traxx & Josh Werner come together as J/M Strap and they are responsible for the A side of this record. We proudly present “the owl in daylight”, an amazing track that brings back the chicago jakbeat sound with an incredible bassline that seems alive, weaving all around the song to take it to the next level with a simple but intriguing dark pad and brilliant solid drums. On the flip we have “play error” by juanpablo. This Madrid based artist is responsible for the Frigio label and his track composed on the phrygian scale. The result is a dark and rythmic tune with a sweet melody and background voices. Like the other tunes on this record “mute city” by Lektoluxe remains at the underground level with galactic melodic synths and a fat deep bass that switches to acid tones at points. An amazing song with clear influences of electro and acid house but the final result is very particular. This artist is really shaping his own sound and this will be confirmed on his upcoming releases in a near future.
