Here you have the result of the premiere collaboration between the German independent label 33rpm Records and Double A Cooking. Jeff Özdemir (Faruk Green, Edwyn Tokyo) and Valparaíso-Sennen (effzehn) teamed up for their first split 7" release with the tracks "I'm So Proud" and "You're So Naive".
"I'm So Proud" by Jeff Özdemir starts housy but as the track develops delves into explorations of instruments lying around Faruk Green's and Edwyn Tokyo's rehearsal room. Jeff Özdemir combines elements of the seventies & eighties with modern electronic dance music. Towards the end of the track he starts citing an old ballad by the Impressions.
Valparaíso-Sennen's sound is influenced by house projects such as Sixteen Souls and The Rurals, and by minimal compositions by Satie and Brian Eno. "You're So Naive" is an unobtrusive piece of deep house from the 90s with a mystic atmosphere.
This is the first release in a series of strictly limited split 7" vinyls which cross the boundaries of established musical genres.
