Next up on electric minds is Croatia’s Ilija Rudman with two-tracker ‘Cinematic Behaviour’. Coming from one of the leading players in the disco-boogie movement, both weapons here certainly have the showering of cosmic dust that gives the sound such rapturous dancefloor appeal. A-side ‘Cinematic Behaviour’ carries all the hallmarks of an Ilija track, replete with neon synth stabs, solid disco claps and a seriously hooky bassline. Deep and funky, with that swinging old school disco groove, the aptly named ‘Cinematic Behaviour’ will seduce the floor with its spine-tingling sonic flourishes and sweeping chromatics. B-side ‘Landscape’ has a warm 80s vibe with starry-eyed chords and gliding synth pads that build into the ultra groovy bassline. Percussive shakes add to the rhythmic groove and a kaleidoscope of keys sprinkle the expansive motif. Both tracks are delivered in a purely authentic style that make you wonder if Ilija really has a time machine. Ilija Rudman has spent the past decade as a purveyor of dance music, releasing under many different guises and collaborating with the likes of Greg Wilson, Pete Herbert, The Revenge and Mark E.
