Following his appearances on BLKND and Noisia's elite imprint Invisible, Hybris now makes his debut for BLKND's parent label Blackout Music. His is a style which is now instantly recognisable, with intricate loops of rhythm folding in one another to create auditory fractals – apparently simple on the surface, yet with near infinite levels of complexity the closer you look. 'Bossa Nouveau' exemplifies this style, with abrupt layers of analogue drums, filtered percussion and classic breaks fragments threaded together with snatches of digital chatter and hijacked FX. 'Absolute Power' adopts a slightly more conventional pattern, but fills in the spaces with a combination of warping and diving basslines, lush electro synths and woozy pads for a driving, linear energy.
