Relative newcomer to the scene Harvest has been turning some heads in Drum & Bass circles for his fresh take on Jump Up D&B. For some this style over the past few years has lacked originality and that all important dose of funk, but we’re pleased to say that these are qualities that Harvest has in abundance, and his debut single on Cold Blooded Recordings has been lighting dancefloors all over the globe for the past few months. On ‘Outsiders’ he keeps things minimal and funky with a track that combines old school Full Cycle vibes with crisp modern production. Infectious bassline stabs and steppy beats are the order of the day here on this solid debut. ‘Prophecy’ is a dark and broody roller – jump up style.
