The highly promising Loopy opens its account with a double dose of disorientating, hypnotic botheration from NZ-er Oliver Peryman, ex of labels like Samurai Horo, Tri Angle and Exit. Both cuts are curtly compelling: SS is darting and hyper; Knecht more haunted, percussive. On the flip, Kassem Mosse contributes some elastic, bubbling funk, with characteristic panache; and Oren Ambarchi settles in for twelve minutes of the frighteners. An excellent EP. Watch out for Loopy.
