For our next Figure installment its a Scottish double bill as Edit-Select goes head to head with Gary Beck in a dual of momentous (and dare we say Figure worthy) proportions! 'Deposer', the intense bass driven builder from Edit-Select, is just the sort of big-room killer that we've grown accustomed to hearing this year on Figure. Having established quite a name for himself of late, and following up an exclusive cut on Len Faki's Ostgut Ton mix, Edit- Select's cut feels right at home in the throbbing bassaddict's playground of clubs like Berghain. It's a tough, pacy tool whose insane sub-energy hardly ever lets up over nearly eight minutes of pure contemporary minimal techno.Promising young Scottsman Gary Beck tribalises the mood then somewhat, with his powerful take on the modern club sound. 'Yah Yah' builds carefully and reliably into a hypnotic ethno-techno journey track, smashing and climbing through Beck's wonderful arrangement. To keep the madness flowing, two digital exclusive tracks are also included.
