The digital audio recordings from Caratinga were made over a period of a few weeks in July, 1991 using Panasonic SV-250 DAT recorder and a variety of Schoeps and Sennheiser condenser microphones. The sequence of tracks describes the passage of a day in the rainforest from first light to well into the night.
