This single is expertly trimmed to optimally loud 45-RPM perfection, a lean and muscular dancefloor bomb primed to take the world by storm. Its two tracks embody the Catalonian producer’s thoroughly singular sound which has caught the attention of contemporary dance luminaries such as Sasha, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Joris Voorn, Christian Smith, and Laurent Garnier. Title track “Atica” is the main attraction, a technicolor anthem encompassing all the best elements of Marc Dosem’s forward thinking and inspirational “soul-techno and hi-tech funk”. Comprised of a handful of sounds employed with expert timing and finesse, this track’s undeniably huge bassline and gliding beat follow a fist-pumping path of total elevation, helped along by ecstatic synths and crucial horn stabs. “Atica” embodies irresistible, timeless, and original dance music, imbued with the futuristic and progressive hallmarks that are Dosem’s signature. Following a more experimental trajectory, B-side “Multipass” is all infectious, steamy rhythm laced with bursts of ultraviolet soundscapes and subtle builds / releases.
