Track a1 have a little crackling in the middle of the track, rest sounds clean, ultrasonically cleaned Check The Guns are back with the second to last instalment in their Tape edit series. It’s onwards and upwards for 004 where side one sees a deconstructed work out of The Fatback Bands ‘The girl is so fine’. Track 2 ‘House down’ is a no holds barred party tune for the discerning dance floor that will do all the work for you. On the flip ‘Sugar samba’ is a rework of the London records classic from Julia and co. Finishing off we have an edit of Heatwaves ‘Super Soul Sister’ which is a gem of a vocal funk track that gives as good as it gets and leaves you wanting more.
