CAIVA exploded onto the scene last year with her folk, jazz and classical blend of hard-hitting techno on Take Me Higher on Lobster Theremin. Now the just-outside-of-Munich artist follows up one of the singles of the year with a complete body of work exploring high velocity sounds and experiences, and comes complete with two wicked remixes from Parisian producer Trudge and Julian Muller. ‘Vigour’ is an intergalactic, bass-driven jam utilising CAIVAs ghostly, folk-like vocals to haunting effect. A tale of two stories; the majority of the track is destined for the club, whilst the breakdown provides a pop-fuelled moment of contemplation. Julian Muller is first up on remix duties as he takes on ‘Vigour’; a typically arcade-inspired trip through the modern trance-techno sound and the high-speed aesthetic of the nineties, before Trudge closes with an ethereal cut of typically textured rhythms within an anxious soundscape.
