Calvin obtained a „single song contract“ from Birdie Records in Detroit, Michigan to have another artist by the name of Bridget Cooper release the song in 1983, which was a modified version from what Calvin Hodge originally performed. This version made it to the Billboard Magazine’s „Top Single Picks“ category on June 4, 1983.
