YoungTEE's first EP for Southern Fried is four tracks of intense house joy. In an ode to Shelter, lead track "Get Deeper" uses the classic Roland Clark sample over a deep and mesmeric arpeggiated groove. "How Did I Get Here?" and "Lewisham '92" have their feet set firmly in an era when pills were the size of your head - old school pianos, jarring strings, analogue bass lines and trippy samples - what else do you need? The blend of 80s funk and 90s deep house on "Can't Stop" close out the EP leaving you wet and panting with excitement.
