Vancouver based producer, Woodhead, adds Masterworks Music to his list of accomplishments with the minty fresh 12" EP, "Deeper Than Love" just around the corner. After making his bed with the likes of Editorial, Royal Soul and Homebreakin', it's no surprise Masterworks would be all hot and heavy over these thumpin' cuts. Kicking things off on the sleazy tip is "Be With You," a mid-tempo funk number that carries an irresistible vibe, bumpin' Moog bassline and a chug that is sure to inspire more than one dancefloor to do the Hustle. Taking things a bit deeper is "I Love You," with it's hypnotic chords, brooding sub-bass and twirling groove. Flip the disc over to catch "Love So Fine," which lightens things up a tad thanks to a shuffling rhythm and layers of chords and soulful vocals. EP closer, "Whenever You're Around" amps things up with a heavy dose of 80's chunk and funk… serious business to get the party all hot and sticky.
