Wolf + Lamb step forward with their own production paying homage to their homeland with the ‘Brooklynn’ EP. The Wolf + Lamb sound is simple and groove-led, citing multi-cultural inuences true to the vibrant New York scene. ‘Therapist’ is reminiscent of the old Chicago sound while ‘Keep me up all night’ is true to its name. Rolling beats and melodies are fed under a sexy sample beckoning you to the danceoor. ‘Must Be Brooklynn’ is the deeper sibling of the package and the gliding pianos and broken beats of ‘Idiosyncratic’ provide an onslaught of jazz-infused house music. Wolf + Lamb was born in 2001 as an alias for Brooklyn-born musical souls, Zev Eisenberg and Gadi Mizrahi. Over the years this unique partnership that has been involved in a well-respected record label, nightclub / studio space, production partnership and DJ duo. Gadi’s forte is sounds, synths and concept, while Zev handles the engineering, editing and writing of the tracks. The Wolf + Lamb Music netlabel was created in late 2005 as an outlet for original Wolf + Lamb productions, alongside the music of some of the artists inuenced by their events. Initially a digital-led, open source label, this is their second venture into the vinyl arena. Between the pair they develop, design and produce all of the artwork, imagery, website, for the label and music.
