Wilson Simonal de Castro was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1939. He was a hugely successful artist throughout the 1960s and 70s, during which time he recorded 20 albums. Here he covers two Jorge Ben penned songs – ‘Silva Lenheira’ and ‘Zazueira’. They appear on ‘Allegria! Allegria? Volume 2’ and ‘Allegria! Allegria! Volume 3’ respectively. Both are previously unreleased on 7”.
