Welcoming Warrior One to Losing Suki, the man like Carl Faure has been knocking out some killers for labels like Black Butter, Catskills and King Pigeon over the last few years, and for Suki he shines a light upon the garage house hybrid sounds…. Title track "5ths" kicks things off with the kind of punchy garage house swing that never fails to move you, airhorns and synth sweeps pepper the cut whilst a thundering Double 99-esque bassline throbs hard and heavy. Flipside, the reverberating keys and MC licks of "NYC" continue Warrior One's indulgence of the classic US house sounds but with a slick production for the modern dancefloor. Closing track "Only You" presents orgasmic pads and tough garage beats, its meaty bass touching the spot, a sweet slice of when rave met garage (somewhere in a field off the M25, most probably).
