Left_blank is the new imprint run by a London based outfit featuring Ross Tones (Throwing Snow). The first release debuts latest Bristol talent Vessel, the pseudonym of Sebastian Gainsbrough., part of the Young Echo collective alongside recent Punch Drunk signee Kahn. Opener Ton features tricky syncopated drums reminiscent of Hessle Audio’s Joe or Untold’s Hemlock label, while Blushes wouldn’t sound out of place on Lowtec’s Workshop label. The rolling 4/4 of title track Nylon Sunset nods as much to the elastic, ecstatic sound of Night Slugs as it does to the classic deep house of Larry Heard, and the mighty Peverelist weighs in with an ominous 2-Step refix of the title track to top off the release.
