First up comes the “El Dorado” and “Limitless & Free”. “El Dorado” kicks off with flamenco guitars and sounds like one of those lovely old Italian sevens people have been playing for the last few years before a rolling bassline enters the frame, the drums roll in, the edits appear and the vocals comes again. Imagine a mad new version of “Jibaro” and you are getting the idea. Right time right place it’d smash it. They describe it as “a bit of a Spanish flamenco fisting for sunrise & sunsets”. “Limitless & Free” is the flip which is totally that oddball sound (got a feeling that could be new word for describing all those wonky records that are incredibly hard to nail down). All synths and twisted bassline like a messed up Can on lots of drugs (though saying that I imagine Can took enough drugs to sink a ship) which is obviously a truly good thing. “I’m hot for your body, I want you right now” comes the vocal refrain.
