The Secret Love compilation series is going in it’s eight year and sixth round by now. The highly acclaimed and succesfull collection has become somehow a landmark in an ever growing submergence of releases and an expansive back catalogue everyone can access to nowadays at a simple mouse click. The sixth installement of the Secret Love compilation sticks to the tried and tested formula of presenting the best between soul, pop and folk - from yesteryear to the current day. Sonar Kollektiv’s A&R and renowed DJ Alex Barck and Adrian Hoenicke (of Finger Magazine fame) selected some outstanding 15 tunes that make this newest Secret Love maybe the best in the series so far. Contributions by known artists like EL PERRO DEL MAR, CARIBOU, JORI HULKKONEN, TIM KNOL, TREMBLING BLUE STARS, CANTOMA mix with songs by newcomers like PRINCETON, LOVE INKS, PSYCHEMAGIK and LOOSE FIT. MARIO & VIDIS’ cover version of BON IVER’s “Re:Stacks” and “Dark Souls” by UNFORSCENE are two exclusive tracks only available on this compilation! Furthermore LUC COUSINEAUS “La Premiere Fois” from 1976 is featured on a compilation for the very first time. “Valley Of Paradise” by British production duo PSYCHEMAGIK kicks off things smoothly.
