Sales Notes:
‘RKS Allstars’ is the latest release from the Roska family and is a choice collection of three tunes from three different producers all presented previously on the label. The prolific pace that these guys are working at is amazing so this release allows to catch our breath and review the last few movements from the camp.
The mysterious Tickles kicks things off with a cut from his latest exciting RKS release ‘Don’t Get Lemon’. ‘Grinding’ is one of the subtly angry records you’ve heard. Drum kicks reverb angrily without being too overbearing and intermittent strange sounds carry the breathless vibe. Complement that with a rudeboy vocal and you’ve got yourself a tough peaktime smash.
MA1’s ‘Static’ pulled from his ‘Do It Better’ release switches the mode to a more Tropical Funky style. A contrasting techy and tribal drum led introduction leads into a deep chord driven main section. MA1’s inimitable ear for those extended dancefloor bangers is without parallel and this diverse workout proves this point.
Spectr aka Scuba tones it down a tad with some deep bass flow and a more prominent and cut up vocal sample with the latest RKS release 'Dance 4 Me'. Once again there are beautiful contrasts in sounds with an old school flavour yet future flow.
Each tune here perfectly encapsulates Kicks & Snares’ exciting and prolifically varied output and the whole release is a bold and welcome statement from a label aiming for the top.
