Light sounds dark presents... ''Return Of The Sherm''.rnrnrn Follow up to last years ''Sherm sticks & other nasty joints'' Light sounds dark return with some more Sherm and another highly charged mix of psych funk prog afro and cosmic boogie. As before familiar classics sit along side rare pieces and a few oddities maybe forgotten on the shelf or at the back of the box gathering dust hoping to see the light of day. Unity(in dark satanic mode) and Rasputin reappear from the first album the latter a little known cover of ''Sympathy for the devil'' with its wonderfully demented intro whilst the insane prog of Professor Ivan Trilha and the impossibly louche psych funk courtesy of Parisian hipsters Ad Libitum are other standouts from the obscuro pile. Weyman corporation will be well known to fans of Harvey and Lovefingers and Theodorking group a rare piece of Italian proto-house circa 1975 is another ''in the know'' dj spin for lovers of a more progressive dancefloor. Also watch out for some sly Neopolitan cosmic boogie from Oro with their message to ''Stop the War'' as relevant now as it was back in the day.
